It’s All about Knowing UTI Mutual Fund NAV in a Better Way

Those who invest in mutual funds, apart from checking the returns which is that another thing people are curious about? Give a little stress on your mind and try to think what it is? Well, it is the NAV of a scheme or fund that usually investors check before investing. And, why not, after all, it is a fund’s market value per unit. In simple words, it is a price at which you buy the unit of a particular scheme.

It stands for Net Asset Value and is calculated by dividing the total value of all the assets in a portfolio, minus all its liabilities. However, it may also be the price at which you would sell the unit, minus any load if applicable. If we talk about assets, they are primarily divided into securities and liquid cash. Securities include both equity as well as debt instruments such as shares, bonds, debentures, commercial papers, etc.

If the prices of the majority of the securities held by a scheme/fund goes up, NAV will also rise and vice-versa. It is mandatory for all the fund houses to calculate and update the NAV of all their schemes on a daily basis so that an investor can easily see the same while investing.

Suppose, if you want to invest in a scheme of a renowned fund house say UTI, what will you do first? After comparing the returns, I am sure you will also go for knowing the UTI mutual fund NAV of a scheme you want to invest.
